Diversity and Inclusion

Japan is creating greater inclusiveness, diversity, and flexibility in various parts of society.
Dynamic engagement of women, persons with disabilities, and seniors makes a difference in achieving sustainable growth.

Women’s Empowerment

The “Power of Women” has the greatest potential in Japanese society, which is not yet fully mobilized. It is essential for a vibrant and growing society to create an environment where women can demonstrate their power to the fullest extent. That is why the facilitation of women’s active role has been positioned as an important element in Japan’s Revitalization Strategy. However, our vision for women’s empowerment and gender equality does not stop there.

Access for All

Japan is aiming for improved equal access for persons with disabilities, and new knowledge, technologies and innovations stand in ready support to allow society to benefit from their active participation and valuable contributions.

Living Long, Staying Healthy

Many senior citizens in Japan remain active and engaged in society, thanks to Japan's medical care and technological advancements that support longer and healthier living.
