In the s11mmer Of1971,Mr.Kerr discovered the hiddenIyaV山1eyinTbkushima Pfe飴dlげe,Shikoh.DiscoveringthebeautYOftheoldthatdledhousesO50minka)thathe discoveredthereⅥⅦSaneXperiencethatdlangedhisli飴.In1973hepuDChaseda300rarr Oldho11SethathenamedChiiori(CottageoftheFlute),andoverti皿etherestorationof OldJapanesehousescametobeoneofhismainactivities.In2004MLKerrbegaJlreStOring OldKYOtOtOWnhouses(macb卸め.Therearenow150s11ChrestoredhousesinKYOtO,and manYJapaneSepeOPlee叫OYStayingatthesetraditionalhomes.
